Abell was born about 1682. There is little constraining his birth year. His headstone used to give his year of age at death but that is completely worn away. It is reported to have been 78 years [1].
Abel Tryon died on 29 Jan. 1760/1 at Middletown, Connecticut and was buried at Old Farm Hill Cemetery, Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut. His memorial has biographical material, a photo of his gravestone, and links to those of family members.[2]
The document distributing his estate[3] names the following as receiving parts of the estate:
Thomas Tryon, eldest son
Heirs of William Tryon, second son, deceased
Heirs of Charles Tryon, third son, deceased
Sarah Clark, eldest daughter
Eunice Barnes, second daughter
Mary Powers, third daughter
Rachel Lewis, fourth daughter
Elizabeth Green, fifth daughter
Prudence Robberds, youngest daughter
Note that there was another daughter Elizabeth, born the third daughter, who did not survive childhood.
