Biography
Elizabeth "Bessie" Philena Tubbs was born in Feb. 1885 at Nelson Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania, USA. She appeared on the census of 4 June 1900 in the household of her parents, George Manley Tubbs and Dora (Baxter) Tubbs, at Nelson Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania.[1]
She married Samuel Allen Seely, son of Jud Delos Seely and Mary E. (Babcock) Seely, on 23 Dec. 1903 at Nelson, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.[2]
She and Samuel appeared on the census of 15 Jan. 1920 at Osceola Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania.[3] She and Samuel appeared on the census of 14 April 1930 at Osceola Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania.[4]
Bessie died on 16 April 1943 at Osceola Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania[5], at age 58 and was buried at Fairview Cemetery, Osceola Township, Tioga Co., Pennsylvania. Her memorial has the dates of her birth and death, and notes that her headstone is shared with Samuel. There is a link to a memorial of their daughter Beryl.[6]
