Biography

Samuel was born in 1775. He passed away in 1840. He served as a witness along with Jeremiah Tubb and John Tubb at the sale of land from Eli Turnbow to James Tubb on 21 Oct. 1797.

George was born in 1758. He is the son of George Tubbs. [1]

SAMUEL TUBB, s/o George & Mary Tubb, b. Rutherford Co., NC, ca 1775, d.

MS, af 1840; m. p Greenville, Co., SC, ca 1789, wife's name unknown, b.

ca 1774. This family was listed in the 1800 census of Greenville Co., SC

with four Chn, three boys and one girl. They moved to Tennessee ca 1804,

remaining a few years before removing to Alabama. In 1830 they were

living in Yazoo Co., MS. and by 1840 they had moved to Attala Co., MS.

Both Samuel and his wife were living in 1840. They were not found in the

1850 census, thus both probably died in Attalla Co., MS between 1840 and

1850, There were a least nine Chn (2)
