Levi lived in Woodhull, Steuben Co. N. Y. from at least 1819 until his death in 1847. He was the first (or one of the first) elected collectors of the town of Woodhull, as well as doing business as a carpenter and shoemaker. His first wife Electa Bird was the daughter of Caleb Colvin, who settled in the town in 1804. After she died in 1842, he married Margaret McFall. He died in 1847 and was buried in Woodhull Cemetery.
