Biography

Samuel Tuck was born on May 20, 1730 in Hampton, New Hampshire. He was the son of Jonathan and Tabitha (Towle) Tuck.

Samuel married Martha Blake on Jan. 24, 1754 in Kensington. She was b. on May 15, 1733 as the daughter of Philemon and Lydia (Boulter) Blake.

Samuel and Martha had at least the following children:

1) Abigail b. March 28, 1758; m. Reuben Swain in 1777; d. Dec. 29, 1789
2) Elizabeth b. Mar. 20, 1760; m. Ephraim Fellows on July 18, 1782; d. Feb. 10, 1843
3) Lydia b. Sept. 8, 1762; m. Jonathan Prescott IV on Sept. 27, 1781; d. aft. 1803
4) Love M. aka "Lovey" b. Jan 11, 1765; m. Francis B. Eastham in 1785; d. Sept. 13, 1848
5) Jonathan b. Dec. 19, 1771; m. Dorothy Webster in 1792; d. Mar. 3, 1848
6) Mary b. Oct. 6, 1774; m. Ebenezer Prescott; d. Nov. 2, 1850 in Monmouth, Maine

Samuel died on Dec. 19, 1788 in Kensington, New Hampshire, leaving his wife Martha a widow. She died in 1821 also in Kensington.
