Henry was born 11 Sept 1820 and baptised 24 Sep 1821 at the Academy Chapel Independent, Hoxton, England. He was the son of Henry Tuck and Jane Starkey.[1]
He married Harriet Caroline Hodson on 3 Oct 1850 in St Ives, Huntingdonshire.
He emigrated to Australia on board the City of Manchester, arriving in Adelaide 15 Jul 1851 He travelled with his wife Harriet, and sisters Elizabeth and Sophia.[2]
The Reverend Henry Lewer Tuck was a Baptist Minister in Stockport, South Australia.
He died 26 August 1880. His death notice in the Adelaide Observer reads: TUCK.βOn the 26th August, at the residence of the Rev. S. Mead, Flinders-street, Adelaide, the Rev. H. L. Tuck, Baptist minister, of Stockport, aged 60 years all but a few days.[3]
