Biography

Georgia Amanda was born on June 21, 1844 in Marion county, Kentucky, the daughter of Raphael Tucker and his wife, Mary Brady Tucker.

Georgia Tucker was always known by her middle name of Amanda. She was baptized on November 1, 1844, at St. Rose Catholic Church, Springfield, Marion county, Kentucky. Her sponsor was Susan Brady.^[1]

She was married on April 6, 1867 in Marion county to Henry Benedict Mattingly, the son of Ignatius Arnold Mattingly and Eliza Jane Madden.

She passed away on December 5, 1926 and was buried on December 6, 1926, in the Lebanon Junction Cemetery in Bullitt county, Kentucky. (Her death certificate shows the 6th as both her death and burial date, but her tombstone shows the 5th as her date of death and is probably, in this case, more accurate.^[2]) A photo of the tombstone can be found on Find A Grave.
