In the Íslendingabók (written in the early twelfth century by the Icelandic priest Ari Þorgilsson) Yngvi Tyrkja konungr 'Yngvi king of Turkey' appears as the father of Njörðr who in turn is the father of Yngvi-Freyr, ancestor of the Ynglings. According to the Skjöldunga saga (a lost epic from 1180–1200, saved only partially in other sagas and later translation) Odin came from Asia and conquered Northern Europe. He gave Sweden to his son Yngvi and Denmark to his son Skjöldr. Since then the kings of Sweden were called Ynglings and those of Denmark Skjöldungs. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yngvi

Relationships between historical figures could have been simplified or even fabricated in the text to give the impression that succession remained within the same family….Precise chronology is also difficult to assess from the Sagas….The conclusion must be that the tight family network described in the Sagas is unlikely to be correct and that the relationships shown below should be treated with considerable caution.[1][2]

Yngvi is a name of the god Freyr, perhaps intended as Freyr's true name while Frey"lord" is his common title. In the Ynglinga saga nd in Gesta Danorum.Frey is euhemerized as a king of Sweden. In the ynglinga saga Yngvi-Frey reigned in succession to his father Njord who in turn succeeded Odin.Yngi-Frey,s descendants were the ynglings. In the slendingabok Yngvi Tyrkja Konungr Yngvi king of Turkey appears as father of Njord who in turn father of Yngvi-Freyr the ancestors of the ynglings In the section of Snorri Sturluson's Edda Snorri brings in the ancient king Halfdan the old who is the father of 9 sons whos names are all words meaning king or lord in old Norse nd 9 other sons who are the forefathers of variousn royal lineages including Yngnvi from whom the ynglings are descended. But rather oddly Snorri immediately follows this with information on what should be 4 other personages who were not sons of halfdan but who also fathered dynasty's nd the names the first of these as Yngvi from whom the yngling.s are descended
