George was born in 1848 in Alabama. He was the son of William Turner and Cinthia Haywood[1] George along with his parents and siblings moved to MS and lived in Lafayette County, MS, [2]and Pontotoc County, MS,[3] where he married and raised his own family. He passed away Mar 19th 1920 in Pontotoc County, MS and is buried in the Salmon Cemetery located in the Randolph Community of Pontotoc, MS. [4].

I searched to see if I could find George in any regiment records. I did find one but he was in the north not the south different cemetery as well. Once you have regiment information be sure to paste the category name (minus the civil war portion) in the regiment and unit locations.
