D V Turner was enumerated as daughter at Chulafinnee, Cleburne County, Alabama for the June 23, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as at home, born 1875 in Alabama and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self L B Turner, wife L L Turner, son H C Turner, son R P Turner, daughter S E Turner, son T N Turner, daughter C P Turner and daughter L J Turner.[1]
Mrs. Dixie Howell Borders died Saturday afternoon at 5 o'clock at Homeland, Fla. After an illness of one week. She was a former resident of Choccolocco. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 o'clock at the Harmony Baptist Church. Burial will be in the adjoning cemetery. Mrs. Borders is survived by her huband W.R. Boarders; two sons, B.F. and Robert Faulkner; four daughters; Mrs. Gussie Hicks, Mrs. Beatrice Snider, Mrs. O.G. Haywood and Mrs. Lillie Bohanon; one sister Eldoria Brown of Miss; 26 grandchildren and 30 great grand-children.[2]
