Capt. John Lightfoot, Esq.[1]
Baptized: 9 April 1598, St. Lawrence Poutney, London, England (aged 17 in 1615)
John Lightfoot matriculated at Lincoln's College, Oxford 5 May 1615. He was admitted as a member of Gray's Inn 30 June 1617.
Spouse: Elizabeth Phillips, daughter of Francis Phillips, Esq., Auditor of the Exchequer.

1. Capt. John Lightfoot, b. 1627, m. Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of John Taylor of Maidstone, Kent. John and Elizabeth had two sons, John and Philip.

John Lightfoot, Esq. died testate, with a will dated 1 January 1647/48, proved 24 March 1648. Widow Elizabeth was buried at St. Sepulcher's, London 4 January 1687/8. She left an undated will, codified dated 22 November 1686.
