In 1900 she is listed as a widow living with her daughter, Pheba Jane, and son-in-law Andrew J. Bailey at Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, KY. She had 10 children of whom 7 were still living.
In 1910 she is living with William and Ella Hays, Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, KY. She is shown as mother-in-law, but that must be an error as William is only 28 and Ella 22. Ellender is 77 at time of 1910 census. Most likely, Ella is the daughter of Andrew and Pheba Bailey and hence Ellender's grandchild.
In the 1900 Census Ella is listed as 13 and she is 22 at the time of the 1910 Census. By 1910 only 6 of Ellender's 10 children are still living. Both her mother and father are listed as being born in KY. Andew Bailey and his wife Pheba Jane are living next door.
