John Willard Turner was born on 17 Jul 1853 in Ripples, Sunbury County, New Brunswick, Canada.

John married Alice A. MacBeth (~1857 - <1899) Their son was Manzer Willard Turner (1896 - 1960).

John married Nancy Ann McHatten (1873 - 1944) on 2 Dec 1899 in Carleton, New Brunswick. Their children were:

  1. Garnet Dowie Turner (1906 - 1977)
  2. Isabelle Gertrude (Turner) Stairs (1908 - 1982)
  3. Elva Maria (Turner) Harrington (1910 - 1966)
  4. Rachel Mabel (Turner) Billings (1914 - 2004).

John died on 12 Oct 1940 in East Newbridge, Carleton County, New Brunswick aged 87. He is buried in New Lenentine Cemetery, Middle Southampton, New Brunswick.[1]


Son of Bartlett Turner and Mary Turner.
