Houston County Courier - April 27, 2000 Mrs. Ella Mae Millican Satterwhite, age 92, of Crockett, passed away Thursday, April 20, 2000, in Whitehall Nursing Center. Mrs. Satterwhite was born Nov. 16, 1907, in Houston County and was a lifetime resident. She was owner and operator of Satterwhite's Grocery Store and a member of South Loop Church of Christ. Survivors include sons, Billy Millican and wife Doris of Huntsville and Charles Millican and wife Mary Ann of Crockett; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Catherine Woodard and husband John of Fort Worth; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jonas Jefferson Millican and John Satterwhite; sons, Glynn Marshall Millican, Cecil Melvin Millican and Bobby Gene Millican; sisters, Vera Marie Hurtt and Mary Odell McGee; and brother, Robert Lee Turner.
