Mary A. Turner was baptized on July 7, 1734 in Scituate, Plymouth, Massachusetts Bay Colony. She was the daughter of Thomas Turner and Mary Bryant Turner.[1]
Mary and her husband were mentioned in the will of her father which was signed on September 6, 1788. The will stated: I give & bequeath to my well beloved daughter Mary Hatch over & above what I have before time given her, the sum of two-hundred & fifty pounds lawful money to be paid her in Silver at the rate of six shillings, eight pence per ounce within one year after my decease to draw interest from the time of my decease till paid, provided my son-in-law Seth Hatch shall be obligated to pay my wife Mary Turner the sum of twelve pounds lawful money in Silver at the rate of six shillings, eight pence per ounce toward her support during her widow-hood aforesaid, and I also give my said daughter Mary one-third of that part of the household furniture & plate whereof my wife is to have a temporary use, when her mother's improvement thereof has ceased. Mary's brothers, Thomas and George Turner, were executors of the will. [2]
