Sarah was born in 1824. She is the daughter of Jesse Turner and Nancy McAdams Turner. Sarah married James B. Ellard.[1] In 1850 they are enumerated on the federal census in Yalobusha County, Mississippi. [2] Sarah passed away in 1892 and was buried at Concord Cemetery, Bruce, MS.[3]
Research notes
Though a source indicates Sarah married Nicholas H. Daniel in 1847, this is the default year given to a decade or more of Yalobusha County, Mississippi marriage records for which records were lost but an index remains. It does not mean the marriage actually took place in 1847. An estimate of 1845 is given as that is the year Sarah turned 21.
