1820 On the 1820 census, Lincoln Co., TN., Woodson Turner is enumerated next door to Wm. Wainwright (Nancy & Wm. were married 1825 in Lincoln Co., TN.) Woodson is still there in 1830.
John Mastin Turner (born 1800 in VA.) went to Tishomingo, Mississippi. He named a son Mastin G. Turner. Wm. & Nancy named one of their sons Mastin G. This could be Nancy Turner's family, given the naming conventions of the era.
Feb. 18, 1772. John Turner and Pleasant Turner of Halifax Co., VA., to John Johnson, for 112 pounds, 100 acres. Bounded by John Guerrant, Henry Gray, Bartholomew Turner & John Johnson & Benjamin Watkins on Dover Mill Creek. Wit.: Stephen Sampson, Henry Gray, John Guerrant, John Layne. Jackson County, GA reports the following names (several names are mixed between counties.) Pleasant Turner - 1820 Census, was a Rev. veteran. Name also found in Goochland, VA in 1782, also found in Wilkes Co, GA. 1803 lottery along with Meshack and John Turner of Pittsylvania--Henry Co. VA. Drew Lee Co. land in 1840 granted.
