Biography

Chloe M. Turner, the daughter of Japheth and Susanna (Fish) Turner, was born on 07 March 1820 in Mashpee or Falmouth, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.^[1][2][3] She married for the first time at age 54, Richard Ayers on 23 July 1876 in Falmouth as his second wife.^[4] Chloe died in Falmouth at age 92 on 12 October 1912.^[5] She was buried in the East End Cemetery, Hatchville, Falmouth.^[6]

At age 56, she married for the first time to Richard Ayers as his second wife on 23 July 1876 in Falmouth. He was a ship's carpenter born in Plymouth, and the son of Jacob an Elizabeth Ayers.^[7][6]

Chloe M. (Turner) Ayers died a widow in Falmouth on 12 October 1912 age 92 years, 7 months an 4 days of old age. Her death record gives her parents names an her birth in Mashpee as 07 March 1820.^[8] She was buried in the East End Cemetery in Hatchville, (Falmouth) next to her parents. Her headstone inscription:^[6]
