This Turner family came from Suffolk. There is continuing confusion around this Christian name. In the Old Parish Registers for Long Melford it states her mother was "Hester, daughter to Peter & Hester Salter 12 March 1731/2". But in her parent's marriage entry it clearly gives her mother as "Esther".
Esther Turner was baptised in June 1757 at Long Melford.[1]
Esther Turner was resident in the parish of Hauxton, about 5 miles SW of Cambridge, when she married.
The entry in the Burial register gives her as Esther, said to be aged 58 years.[2]
