Biography
In 1302 Ellen (or Elena) de Turton, widow of Henry, held of Thomas Gresley the eighth part of one fee in Thurton (Turton); and in 1303 there was a suit between her and Richard de Turton, son of Henry de Turton, as to 20 acres of land at Turton. Richard acknowledged that it belonged to Ellen, for which she paid him £20.
