Hannah (Mason) Combs was a Virginia colonist.

Hannah was born about 1665 (or 1680) possibly in either Richmond County or Middlesex County, Virginia Colony. It is hypothesized that she was the daughter of "Joseph/Josiah MASON, and his wife, Elizabeth BURTON, who m 11 Jul 1678, Christchurch Parish, Middlesex Co, VA, and whose daughter, Ann MASON, was baptised 06 Jun 1680, Christchurch Parish, Middlesex Co VA."[1] It is not certain when she died. She was living at the time the inventory of her husband's estate was presented in court on 30 March 1717. She has not been found in records after that date.

Marriage

Hannah married John Combs before 1694 probably in Richmond County, Virginia Colony (formed from Old Rappahannock Co. in 1692). Some researchers suggest that John was married twice, first to Ann Mason about 1694 and second to Hannah Mason before 1698. Others believe that Ann was simply a nickname for Hannah. Known children: Elizabeth (Combs) Kendall, Archdell, Judith, Mary, Sarah, Aimee, Mason Combs.[2]

Combs-919 Rick Combs II
Mason-11662 and Mason-1439 do not represent the same person because: Joseph Thomas Combs is not a child of John & Hannah Ann. The male line YDNA profile of Joseph shows him to be from entirely different unrelated Haplogroup. The parentage of Joseph is still unknown.
