Biography

Jenny was born in 1868. She was the daughter of William Tuttle and Susan Wilson. She passed away in 1940. ^[1]

(31) and wife Susan (26) are living with their children Ida Bell (8), Eugene (5) and Florence (1). William is listed as a carpenter. The home is valued at $50 and his other assets at $150. All list their birthplace as Kentucky.

1880 – Kentucky, Hardin, Elizabethtown, 17 Jun 1880 The 322nd family in the census is the W.J. Tuttle family. W.J. (42) is listed as the head of the family and is reportedly a widower. Living with him are his children, Kate (19), Ida (18), Eugene (16), Florence (12), Lucy (5) and Frank (2). W.J. is listed as a carpenter and all report their birthplace and birthplace of their parents as Kentucky. Not sure where Kate came from and why she was not listed in the 1870 census.

1900 – Kentucky, McCracken County, Paducah, 905 West Side South, 1 Jun 1900 Charles (36) and wife Florence (32) are living in the home they rent with the four children William (10), Bessie (9), Lola (8) and Fred (6). The couple has been married for 12 years and reports that all four of their children are still alive. Charles was born in Iowa and his parents in Pennsylvania. Everyone else reports to have been born in Kentucky. Charles is listed as a contractor.

1910 – Kentucky, McCracken, Paducah, 905 South 3rd Street, 17 Apr 1910 Charlie (48) and wife Florence (45) still are living with their four children Will (20), Bessie (19), Lola (17) and Fred (16) in the home they rent. Charlie owns a wallpaper store and Will works as a machinist in a foundry. Charles and Florence have been married for 21 years and all four of their children are still living.

1920 – Kentucky, McCracken, Paducah, 1934 Bridge Street, 7 Jan 1920 Charles G. (55) and wife Florence (52) are living in the home they own. Living with them is their widowed daughter Bessie K. Maret (29) and married daughter Lola K. Ramage (27). Charles is a damage clerk for a railroad.

1930 – Kentucky, McCracken, Paducah, 1934 Bridge Street, 2 Apr 1930 Charles (66) and wife G. Florence (61) are living in the house they own reportedly worth $4,000 with their divorced daughter Bess M. (39). Charles is a claims clerk with the railroad.

1940 – Kentucky, McCracken County, Paducah, 1934 Bridge Street The death record for Ms. Florence Kelly lists her date of birth as 9 Nov 1866, two years earlier than some other records. She died of congestive heart failure. Her father is listed as W.R. Tuttle and mother as Mary Wilson. Informant was husband, C.G. Kelly.
