Married Esther Miller. Professor or ceramic engineering at Alfred University. Name was given because he was born in or around Milton, Pennsylvania while they were going to Alfred, NY: Milton Alfred. He was the coach of the cross country team 1951-1961. Three children, Bruce (Evelyn), Amy, and John.
