W. S. Tuttle (Jan. 2, 1817-Jan. 3, 1883) Hon. W. S. Tuttle died at Wrightstown, Brown County, Jan. 3 rd, 1883. He was born in Broome Co., NY, Jan. 2, 1816. His parents, and his family, removed to Ohio; and in 1847, he settled in Auburn, Fond du lac Co., Wisconsin, where he resided nineteen years holding many public offices, and representing his district in the legislature of 1858. In 1866, he removed to Wrightstown. While in the legislature, it is said he introduced the first lien law enacted in the State, which became law. He was a man of much worth and influence. Born 1816 Moved to Ohio as a child Possible marriage to a Lucy Ann Merriman in Cayahoga Co Ohio in 1836 1847 moved from Ohio to Auburn WI 1850 Census William and Hannah (Brown) Tuttle were listed in Fond Du Lac WI with Oliver and Hannah's three kids. 1858 William S. Tuttle was with the 11th Session of the STATE LEGISLATURE which was in session Jan 13-May 17 1858.His territory post office was "NEW FANE" 1860 Lived still in Auborn WI. Renseller and Clarisa came to live with them. 1866 Moved to Wrightstown (Brown Co) WI 1870 Census in Wrightstown WI 1880 Census in Wrightstown WI Alvina and Children came to live. 1883 Died
