Urania Twitchell was born about 1779 in Derby, New Haven County, Connecticut. She was also known as "Rane." Her father and mother were Enoch Twitchell and Abiah Camp.
She married Timothy Hitchcock on January 6, 1803, at Oxford Congregational Church, Oxford, New Haven County, Connecticut. There were four offspring from this union:
Rane Twitchell Hickcock died at about the age of sixty-four years on January 4, 1843, in Seymour, New Haven County, Connecticut. Her earthly remains are buried at Seymour Union Cemetery, Seymour, New Haven County, Connecticut.[1]
