Biography
John Tydings baptised 12 May 1682, married Mary Ellis on 16 June 1705 at West River Meeting House, Anne Arundel County, and died 4 January 1713 leaving two daughters Cassandra baptised 26 October 1718 and Charity baptised 17 June 1719, both at All Hallows. The baptisms of these daughters may have taken place at age 7 or 8, well after their father died. Mary Ellis married secondly Thomas Knighton on 8 October 1723.
