Evelyn Marie Tyler was born on 29 April 1906[1] at Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois, USA.[2] She appeared on the census of 11 May 1910 in the household of her parents, Albert Alleno Tyler and Mary Agnes (Stadler) Tyler, at Milwaukee St., Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.[3] She appeared on the census of 2 Jan. 1920 in the household of her parents at 442 Chicago Ave., Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.[4] She was a nurse when she appeared on the census of 5 April 1930 in the household of her parents at 442 Chicago Ave., Savanna, Carroll County, Illinois.[5]
She married Stanley Harry Skrentny MD circa 1931. [2] She and Stanley Harry Skrentny MD lived in 1932 at Hammond, Indiana.[6] She served in the US Army as a 1st. LT. Army Nurse Corps, World War II.[1]
She married James Arvid Rhodes on 6 March 1947 at Hilo, Hawaii Co., Hawaii.
Evelyn died on 24 Jan. 1959 at Honolulu, Honolulu Co., Hawaii, at age 52 and was buried at National Cemetery of the Pacific "The Punchbowl", Hawaii, Marker #U141.[2] Her memorial has a photo of her headstone with the inscription: "1st. LT. Army Nurse Corps, World War II."[1]
