Biography
Carlie drowned after falling into into the water barrel while getting water. Her youngest daughter, Ester Ann, was raised by Carlie's sister, Huldah. Daughter, Nellie Virginia, was raised by Derwood's parents, Samuel R. & Ollie V. Tyler Giles. I believe that son, Clarence, remained with his father.
