Biography of Jessie TYLER SNAVELY

Jessie Tyler was born 12 July 1886 (along with her twin sister, Grace). She is the daughter of Alsup Vail Tyler and Christena Lovelass.

The 1890 census...

The 1900 census shows Jessie living with her parents in Damascus, Pennsylvania.[1]

Jessie married George Snavely on June 30, 1905.[2]

The 1910 census shows Jessie living with her father-in-law and children in Damascus, PA.[3]

The 1920 census...

New York's 1925 census shows Jessie as living with her husband and children in New Jersey.[4]

The 1930 census shows Jessie as the head of the household and living with her daughter in Broome County, New York. The census describes her marital status as divorced.[5]

The 1940 census shows Jessie living with her daughter's family in Broome County, New York.[6]

Jessie passed away in 1952. Her gravestone features a picture of a sewing machine. Her birth year on "Find a Grave" is incorrect -- even on the gravestone. [7]
