Biography
John Baptist Tizon is believed to have been born in Antwerp on 22 February 1638 and baptised at St James, Antwerp. He is described in a Portuguese document dated 1752 relating to his grandson, João Nevel's eligibility for the Order of Christ as: "Joao Baptista Tizon nasceu em Antwepia em 22 de Fevereiro de 1638, foi Bautizado na freg[uesia] de Sao Jacobem dada. Cid[ade]."[1]
