The "Massachusetts, Town Clerk, Vital and Town Records, 1626-2001" have two entries for Elizabeth, both listing the last name as Gole.[2][3]
Her parents were Rose and Francis GOOLE who were married by 1650 [5] and had about 14 children. [6] About 1660 they moved their family from Braintree, Norfolk County, Massachusetts to Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, which was then the frontier. [7]
Elizabeth GOLE was born on 15 Jan 1664/65 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [8]
Elizabeth GOOLE or GOLE or GOLD or GOULD married Thomas POWERS about 1692 in Chelmsford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. [9].
Research Notes
Some unproven sources indicate that her mother was Rose WHITEHALL.
