Biography

Edla Uhlin is one of twins.

Edla was born on 7 Jun 1860 in Söderhamn, Gävleborg, Sweden to Erik (Eriksson) Uhlin and Kathrina Amalia Sjödin.[1]

She continued to live with her family in 1881, according to the 1881-1885 household examination books.[1]

She got twins with Erik Rosen 1901.
The story says she worked in the household of Erik and Anna[4].
Erik was divorced the same year and left to North America 1903.

1900 oct 24 the twins moves from Söderhamn to Norrala and she moves to Järvsö[5][6]. Elisabeth and Ingeborg lives with the family Bergström Hilda and Karl Anton.

1900 dec 18 her children are moving to Norrala. We have a note in the moving in book of Norrala but with a date dec18[7][8]

1900 Census Norra Djupvik Norrala both her children lives in Norra Djupvik, Norrala at the family Bergström[9]

1902 dec 11 her children moves from Norrala to Söderala Wansäter No 6 with the Bergström family and her sister Ingeborg Katrina[8][10][11]


1903 aug 28 her daughter Ingeborg Katrina is moving out alone to Stugsund, Söderhamn[11][12][13] where her daughter grows up with Edlas sister Anna Maria Uhlin 37 years old and her husband "Maskinist" Lars Robert Strandlund 41 years old.

1916 moved inside Bollnäs to Hamre No4 with Ola Nilsson Neander and Nanne Marita[20]

1917 jul 14 fd. "stationsmästare" Ola Nilsson Neander pass away and Edla[20]

1919 Edla moves to ???[20][21]

1923 sep 15 one of her daughters Elisabeth moves to North America on Drottningholm[23] destination New York[24]

1925 oct 2 moved from Göteborg Kristine församling to Stugsund, Söderhamn and is mentioned as sister-in-law swe. svägerska. Living next to her sister Ingeborg Teresia on Rosengatan 17[25]

1927 jul 15 moved from Stugsund, Söderhamn to Arbrå[26] and worked as a nurse assistant[27][28][25]

1929 apr 13 passed away in Arbrå, Hälsingland, Sweden at age 68 [3][26]. Title former nursing assistant (swe. sjukvårdsbiträde).

  • Regarding her twins:
    • The father of Edla's twins was an Erik Rosén, who was the owner of the farm where she worked as a maid.
    • Edla's sister, Anna, and her husband fostered and later adopted Ingeborg. Karl Anton and Hilda Carolina Bergström adopted Karin.[citation needed]
