Biography

Sarah Ann Choularton, daughter of John Choulartom & Mary, was baptised on 24 May 1825 in Halifax, Yorkshire, England.[1]

In the 1841 census Sarah (age 15) was living with her parents and siblings at the home of John & Sarah Finch on Clock Alley in Manchester, Lancashire, England.[2]

In the 1871 census Jane (age 38) was the head of household in Manchester, Lancashire, England. She lived with her husband James and 4 children from her first marriage. Her husband was a gas fitter. (note: the transcription was littered with typing errors). [13]
