There are no quality sources showing that Bridget was the daughter of Henry Green and mother Joan Groves, with several sources showing her last name as unknown.[1][2][3]
One possible explanation of her last name being given as Green, with her father being Henry, may be a misreading of a court case in Essex. On October 10, 1659, Bridget [Huggins] testified about the daughter of Henry Green. GDMNH's abbreviations could have been misinterpreted. GDMNH says this about Huggins' wife: "W. Bridget, ± 44 in 1659, dep. in Essex Ct. ab. Henry Green's dau."[1]
The court records say this: "Bridgid Huggins, aged about forty-four years, testified that being desired by Goodwife Green to look at her child's leg, she found it very much swollen, red and raw and not much better than when she went to the Bay. This was about a week after the child's return. Sworn in Hampton court, 6:8: 1659, before Tho. Bradbury,* rec." [4]
Bridget ______ was born about 1611 based on her first marriage. She married first, John Huggins by 1636, at Hampton, New Hampshire Colony.[3] She married second, John Clifford Sr. April 6, 1671, at Hampton, New Hampshire Colony.[5][6]
Bridget ______ (Huggins) (Clifford) died at Springfield, Massachusetts, May 7, 1695.[2][7] Bridget died on 7 May 1695 in Springfield, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
John Clifford married his third wife, February 6, 1672, Mrs. Bridget Huggins, widow of John Huggins1. He died Oct 17, 1694, "aged eighty years" (Town Record ) [6]

She is already connected to Huggins-126. What are you wanting to do?
I'm so sorry to have bothered you. She is there now. I was trying and trying to add her but it wasn't taking. Then there was a merge and she is there. Thanks so much for the reply :-)

Thank you, Doug.

Same approximate birth year, same deathk date and place. Same spouse Huggins (will set duplicate children for merging). 2nd spouse on Unknown is supported by sources on profile. Please merge to Unknown.
Profile managers for both this profile and Bridget Green were contacted over a week ago and there has been no response. Nor have there been responses to earlier posts on either Bridget profile saying that her name should be changed to Unknown. Neither this profile or the other profile have any quality sources for her last name being Green.
Let's change her last name to Unknown, and then I'll propose a merge for the other Bridget into this profile.
Thank you.

The court records say this: "Bridgid Huggins, aged about forty-four years, testified that being desired by Goodwife Green to look at her child's leg, she found it very much swollen, red and raw and not much better than when she went to the Bay. Unless someone finds something else actually tying the Bridget who was baptized in 1611 to the same Bridget who married Huggins and then Clifford, I think her name should be changed to Unknown, and she should be removed from these parents. Her bio originated, intending to be the Bridget who married Huggins, and was an immigrant to New England.
Thoughts?

Bridget _____ did marry first Huggins and then Clifford, that much is clear. It is her parentage that is unclear, at least based on the few sources mentioned.
What sources do show her parentage?
Thank you for the heads up, Linda. Do you wish to propose the merge, please?
