Leah was born in Pennsylvania, daughter of George and Elizabeth Mentzer and spent the first several years of her marriage as a member of the Ephrata Society. Joseph and Leah moved to Virginia about 1764 and she spent the rest of her life on the family farm on Mulberry Run in northern Shenandoah County and and died between 1837 and 1840, at the approximate age of 92. Leah is probably buried beside her husband in the Boehm-Supinger cemetery, very near their home but no stone remains. She wrote a will, July 11, 1837. It was probated Aug 10, 1840.
Parentage: Will of George Mentzer, 1784, lists "Leah Keller" as one of his children. Also Adminstration of Elizabeth Mentzer (Aug. 1800), lists "Joseph Kellar of Shenandoah County, Virginia" one of the administrators, along with Abel Mentzer. Franklin County Pennsylvania Will Book B. p. 98.
