Biography
Emma Harriet Rowe aka Emma Rowe was born in 1856 in Shrewton, Wiltshire, England to George Rowe and Elizabeth (Shergold) Rowe. Her birth was registered in Amesbury, Wiltshire in the second quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Shergold.[1]
Emma Harriet Rowe, daughter of George, a labourer, & Elizabeth, was christened on 15 Jun 1856 in Shrewton.[2]
In 1861 Emma Row (age [4], Scholar) lived in Shrewton with her father George (50, Agricultural Labourer), mother Elizabeth (35), and brother Tom (1).[3]
Emma's father passed away in 1864.
In 1871 Emma Rowe (age 15, Scholar) lived in Shrewton with her widowed mother Elizabeth (44, Laundress), two brothers: Thomas (11, Scholar) and William J H (8, Scholar), grandfather John Sherigold (79, Ag Lab), and grandmother Susan A Sherigold (75).[4]

In 1901 Emma Wheeler (age 45) lived at 142 Earls Road in Portswood, Southampton, Hampshire with her husband Charles (43, Tram Car Driver) and daughter Annie (11).[8]
In 1911 Emma Wheeler (age 55) lived at 286A Portswood Road in Southampton with her husband Charles Richard (53, Motor Man for the Southampton Corporation Tramways) and daughter Annie (21) - Emma & Charles had been married 30 years, and 3 children had been born in their marriage (all still living).[9]
Emma Wheeler passed away in 1925, aged 69 years. Her death was registered in Southampton in the last quarter of the year.[10]
