1790 U.S. Census: Charles Oneale found on Fairfax County, Virginia, census, (page 40 of 49, column 2, line 45), named as head of household, number of white souls was 5, dwellings and other buildings not enumerated.[1]
1801: Daughter Sarah, age 18, married Martin Barrier on November 2, 1801 in Pulaski, Kentucky.[2]
1805 Daughter Delila Neal married William Smith on October 17, 1805, with consent of fathers James Smith Sr. and Charles Neal, witnessed by John Tummelson, in Pulaski County, Kentucky. [3]
Not found on 1810 Census. There are 4 Charles' in Kentucky and 4 in Virginia, but none of them was the correct age to be this Charles.
1820 U.S. Census: Chs. Neals, age 63. lived in Somerset, Pulaski County, Kentucky, with one male aged 45 and up (Charles), one female under age 10 (?), one female 16-26 (Nancy, 23), one female age 45 and up (Silence, 59). He held one male slave age 14-16, three male slaves age 45 and up, and no female slaves.[4]
