I came across a record on https://gw.geneanet.org/tdowling indicating that William Davis married Elizabeth Stringer who was born about 1618 in Hughley, Shropshire, England. Married 1643. I tried looking at FindMyPast for English records. There I came across Elyzabeth Stringer in Hughley, Shropshire who married a William Davis on 05/05/1639 in the Anglican church. FindMyPast cross referenced to Elizabeth Stringer baptized 03/25/1621 at Stockton, Shropshire, father Thomas, mother Anne. Was "our" William Davis still in England as late as 1639? Are the prior dates in William's profile inaccurate? I would not edit existing information without further research and discussion.
