Biography

Jane Amelia Casamajor, the daughter of James Henry Casamajor and Elizabeth Helen Campbell, was born 20 August 1789 at Fort St George, Tamil Nadu, India.

She was just 19 when she married Henry Russell II on 20 December 1808 at Madras, India.

Sadly, she died suddenly on 29 Jan 1809 at Madras, India, just two months after her marriage.

Jane Amelia (née Casamajor) Russell was buried at St Mary's Church, Fort St George, Chennai (Madras), Tamil Nadu, India.^[1] The memorial is to the left of the doorway that leads to the garden.^[2]
