Biography

Jean Lyon was the wife of John Lyon of Little Stanmer in Middlesex (b. 1510, son of John Lyon III of Rystippe and Emma Hedde), and they had the following children:^[1]

2. Elizabeth (1545-1606)
3. Thomas (1550)

Research notes

The primary source for this profile is confusing, as it seems to identify Jean as being the wife of John Lyon of Little Stanmer in Middlesex (b. 1510, Rystippe), but proceeds to state that Jean Lyon died 5 Apr 1535 and then enumerates the birth dates for their children that have been above shown. For now, the profile continues to have some validity issues, but it is safe to assume that Jean was probably not born nor died on the date shown: she appears to have lived at least until 1550, assuming that the children attributed to her represents a correct interpretation of the sole source.
