There was an Elizabeth married to Bartholomew Thatcher. Kingwood (Hunterdon Co.) is not far (less than 20 miles) from Amwell.

Thank you, I was able to find it, once I knew it was ancestry. I also found the same obit in Pennsylvania and Virginia. I wonder why it was considered newsworthy in these places? Because she had 17 children? This is certainly a plausible account. However we need more evidence to make this connection positive.
