Through the Van Tassell Family organization of Utah from a typed copy of the original by Mariam R. Owen) does not contain a Catharine Van Tassel born about 1814 or a Benjamin Briggs. However, there were numerous Van Tassel families in the Cortlandt, Westchester county area.
