Research Notes

  • There are no appropriate mentions of Alice Courtney at American Ancestors. There are no common genealogical articles that mention the surname.
  • Torrey's New England Marriages refers to her only as Alice ____ This would catch older genealogies calling her Courtney, even if only in the use a ? mark
  • Even Find a Grave doesn't give her a maiden name
  • There is sourcing on some family trees, however the sources listed do not support the facts.

Anderson calls her Alice ____, Torrey calls her Alice ____. No journal articles mention her name. Objections to changing to Unknown?

2 and a half years later, there doesn’t seem to be an objection or new info. It does seem time to change her name to unknown.

Yes, Thank you. I've changed it.

The given source, geni, has dates circa 1617 - after April 26, 1676. Setting birthdate to 1641 has her born after her children.
