Dorothy Wilder, born probably around 1710 (date guess based on year of marriage); as she married Josiah Richardson, b. in 1705[1] Dec 3 1730, in Lancaster, Massachusetts; by "by ye rev'd Mr. John Prentice"[2]daughter of Ephraim Wilder, born about 1678; and Elizabeth Stevens, born about 1697.[citation needed]
Nine years earlier, in the same County and by the same Reverend, a William Richardson married Mary Wilder, consumated by ye Rev'd Mr. John Prentice, Dec 27 1721[3]Most likely Josiah and William came from the same family.
Josiah died towards the end of 1752, based on the inventory of his estate which according to Vinton; occurred in January of 1753; in which Dorothy, his widow, is named Administrator.[4]
"In Memory of Josiah Richardson "who died Sept ye 1st 1752 in the 47th yr of his age; "when sovereign power ascends ye throne then feeble mortals tumble down"[1]
Josiah and Dorothy Richardson, had the following children:
Tilley; b. June 26, 1732[5] eldest son, was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, and died at Watertown, jefferson Co., N. Y. Jan 14 1852 in the notice of his death is styled "captain".
Ephraim, inventory of his estate is dated Dec 14 1775
