Thomas West, (John 2, John 1) born about 1670, served as captain of militia of King William County and member of the House of Burgesses from that county (1703-05, 170506, owned 1000 acres there, 1704, and rec'd a patent for 1615 acres in St. John's Parish, King William, 23 Dec. 1714. He married, by 4 Feb. 1694/5 Agnes ______, administratrix with the will annexed of Hubert Taylor, who gave power of attorney, 20 Aug 1703, to William Aylett to relinquish her dower in a deed to John Russell, planter.
Surname suggestions have included her married name (Claiborne), Thomas (apparently a mistranscription error, putting her husband's given name as her maiden name), and Ester[2] In one place, she is named as "Agnes Frances Estes Burton"[3] (see Research Notes, below).

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Agnes Frances Ester by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Agnes Frances Ester:
