Research Notes
There is a marriage of a William Lewis to Alice Bowen in Tong, Shropshire on 25 Nov 1893. Whilst this doesn't match with the number of years Alice said she had been married in the 1911 census, it does make more sense for the dob of their first child which appears to have been in 1896. Otherwise there would have been a gap of 8 years between marriage and first child.
