Text: A small group called McCoy Family Group in Yahoo has proved that William McCoy of Bedford County, Va., who married Joanna Payne, was son of William Sr. and Ann Unknown McCoy, who married John Stump after William Sr.[‘s] death and has 2 more children. Proved by court records from Bedford Co. court house. Now we’re trying to find Ann's last name. We have a possible Harris. It seems this generation [of] William Sr. and Ann Stump has the surnames Maccoy, Stump, Payne, Booth, Clay, Carroll, Cambell, Mitchell. I know how the Payne, Stump and McCoy fits in.
