Bertha Ann was born about 1855. She was the daughter of Unknown and Tracy Fillmore. Her last name at birth is uncertain, but could be Finney, as that was Tracy's last name at the time of her marriage to Judson Hicks in 1860.
In both 1861 and 1871, Bertha's last name is listed as Hicks and he was living with Judson and Tracy Hicks.
