Biography

Bridget Mary Kane was born on 28 Oct 1885 in Ireland, according to the death certificate, the daughter of Michael Kane and Margaret Mullen.

Bridget immigrated to the United States in about 1903.

Bridget married Edward James Sheehan in about 1909.

Bridget and Edward had four children:

1. Edward Francis Sheehan (c1910-c1970)
2. Catherine Sheehan (c1913-c1975)
3. Cecilia M Sheehan (c1915-c1980)
4. Regis W Sheehan (1916-c1985)

In 1910 Bridget Mary Sheehan (age 25) lived at Virginia Avenue in Mifflin Township, Alleghany County, Pennsylvania with her husband Edward (22, Craneman[?] at Steel Mill), son Edward Francis (0), father-in-law Patrick (48, Labourer at Steel Mill), mother-in-law Katherine (47), two brothers-in-law: Joseph (16) and John (13), adopted sister-in-law Marie (10), sister-in-law Margaret Williams (19), sister-in-law's husband Wendell Williams (20, Labourer at Steel Mill), and niece Elizabeth Marie Williams (0).^[1] According to this census: Bridget had not yet been married a full year; she was the mother of 1 child; and she immigrated in 1903.

In 1920 Bridget Sheehan (age 32) lived in Homestead Borough, Allegheny County with her husband Edward J (32, Labourer at Steel Works) and three children: Catherine (7), Cecilia (5), and Regis W (3).^[2]

Bridget Mary Sheehan passed away of endocarditis on 23 May 1925, aged 39 years. She is buried at Saint Mary Magdalene Cemetery in Munhall, Allegheny County.^[3]
