Jane (Unknown) Mosley (abt. 1605 - 1644)

Died 1644 at about age 39 in The Milngate, Manchester, Lancashire, England

Biography

• Jane must have been born in about 1605 but we do not where, when, or the names of her parents.
• In about 1623 she was married to Anthonye BROWNE, who is known to have lived "in the Marsh" in Derbyshire.
• This couple had at least one child, a daughter (Jane BROWNE).
• Anthonye BROWNE had died by 1626 when Jane re-married to Rowland MOSLEY, supposedly at Chapel-en-le-Frith, Derbyshire, England.
• Jane died in 1644, probably at The Milngate, Manchester, Lancashire, England.
• She was buried on December 17, 1644, at the Collegiate Church of St. Mary, St. Denys and St. George, Manchester, Lancashire, England; under the heading "Burialles in December 1644" the burial record reads, "Jane the wife of Mr. Rowland Mosley ye younger of Manchester" (see also "Mosley Memoranda", p. 15).
